I’M NOTHING/ WITHOUT YOU 

Created from pigments derived from minerals and semi-precious stones, these works feature layers of geologic formations rendered in shifting styles and levels of realism. Deconstructions of the cairns the artist arranged in her hikes throughout the eastern Sierra range, they reflect the allure of a temporary loss of self that can occur in the disorientation of wilderness travel. Titled after fragments of love songs and self-help literature, they evoke selfhood longing after its own dissolution and expansion.
